With the The Ruinous Powers Commander Deck, Magic: The Gathering and the forces of Chaos from Warhammer 40.000 collide. The English, ready-to-play Commander Deck is built in blue, black, and red and is led by Abaddon the Despoiler. He is supported by, among others, Be'lakor, the Dark Master. The Deck focuses on Chaos Space Marines, Demons, and effects that reward big spells and Cascade strategies.
The product contains 100 Magic cards, including two traditional Foil legendary cards and 98 non-Foil cards. As with the other Warhammer 40.000 Commander Decks, 42 cards were newly designed specifically for Magic, and all cards feature Warhammer-themed designs. You also receive a Foil-Etched Display Commander card, ten double-sided token cards, a life counter, a Deck Box, and strategy and reference materials. This edition is in English and corresponds to the regular Commander version, not the Surge-Foil Collector's Edition.
The Ruinous Powers is ideal for Commander players looking for a preconstructed Deck with explosive, unpredictable plays and powerful Demons. For Warhammer 40.000 fans, the Deck features many familiar characters and motifs in Magic card form, making it appealing as a sealed collector's product as well.
