Are there differences in availability or print runs between German and English sets – and what does that mean for the price?

Yes, there are differences. English Pokémon sets are produced in significantly larger quantities and distributed worldwide. As a result, they are usually available for longer and somewhat cheaper in price.

How can I tell which set or edition my Pokémon cards come from?

Each card has a set symbol and a collection number (e.g., "045/196") at the bottom left. The symbol identifies the respective set, and the number indicates the position within the edition. On the back, you will also find the language version (e.g., "© Pokémon / Nintendo / Creatures / GAME FREAK" in English or German).
