Welcome to the sunken realm of Nauctis
With Nauctis: Das versunkene Reich Magic: The Gathering takes its Players into a completely new environment. Instead of wide-open plains, dense forests, or mighty mountains, you can expect a mysterious world that lies entirely beneath the water's surface.
The first fully underwater Magic set
Nauctis is the first Magic set whose world is located entirely underwater. This unique environment opens up new possibilities for card design, the representation of the mana colors, and the stories that unfold around the sunken realm.
From glowing shallows to the dark abyss
The world of Nauctis ranges from bright, inviting coastal regions to the darkest areas of the seafloor. Colorful corals, dense kelp forests, hot springs, and mysterious remains of enormous marine creatures give each region its own character.
New peoples and creatures from the deep
Numerous unusual inhabitants live beneath the water's surface. Alongside familiar sea creatures, you can expect new peoples such as crab-like inhabitants, wise penguins, and powerful walrus warriors. Humans, on the other hand, are rare in Nauctis and require special equipment to explore the underwater world.
A new interpretation of the five mana colors
The familiar mana colors of Magic also receive an appropriate underwater interpretation in Nauctis. Green mana sources, for example, may appear in enormous kelp forests, while red energy emerges from hot springs and volcanic areas of the seafloor.
Magic under completely new conditions
In a world without a sky, different rules apply than on classic Magic planes. Movement, combat, and ways to evade attacks have to be reimagined underwater. As a result, Nauctis promises to be an extraordinary expansion both in gameplay and visually.
Nauctis for Players and Collectors
The distinctive underwater theme makes Nauctis just as interesting for active Players as it is for Collectors. Imaginative sea creatures, atmospheric illustrations, and possible special card versions could make the set an impressive part of any Magic collection.
